Topic > What is behavioral psychology? - 1163

As we all know behaviorism is also known as behavioral psychology. This is based on the idea that behaviors are acquired using conditioning. This occurs when a person interacts with his environment. Behavior can be studied systematically by considering only the observable and excluding the person's internal thoughts. Behaviors are influenced by external factors, from parental conditioning to environmental situations. Behaviorism is primarily concerned with the observable and measurable aspects of human behavior. The behavioral approach is based on the concept of explaining behavior through observation and the belief that our environment is what makes us behave differently or suffer from disease. Therefore, when behaviors become unacceptable, they can be unlearned. Behaviorism views development as an ongoing process in which children play a relatively passive role. It is also a general approach that is used in a variety of contexts, both clinical and educational. Our first interviewee, Ms. Maryan Duritan, graduated in AB Multimedia Arts from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She now works as an animator and illustrator at WikiHow and as a part-time art teacher at BeMe, a company that holds art workshops for babies and toddlers. When we asked her if she had had any problems with her colleagues, so far, she said she had not experienced any conflict or argument between her colleagues and her boss, so we asked her if she had ever had a conflict with them, how would she faced? He told us that he would simply calmly respond to his colleague or boss and, if push came to shove, ask why that person was behaving that way. We found out through… middle of paper… …He agreed and said that all workplaces experience these conditions because it pushes workers to work harder and that workers who perform poorly are subject to punishment. Of course, with this principle, almost all workers would strive to meet quotas and expectations, etc. This type of principle helps motivate workers, not only because they can achieve something, but because this something can help them; firstly, financially, secondly, with connections to their families and finally to themselves. But this type of system has a downside. It can create fear among workers because they will think that if they fail to do their job something might be removed from them or their jobs and workloads might be added. All the worker's reactions would vary depending on how they take the gravity or levity of the situation. Workers are forced to perform tasks because they need them.
