Paul wrote down every detail of the day they faced this battle. The couple was always happy because they were healthy. Gay marriage is very common nowadays and there are younger generations of gay men today. Many gay couples are more likely to contract AIDS. Love struck the author and he decided to write a book about his lover and life partner. There were many events that this couple had to face. The author said he didn't remember anything in his diary from December 1981, he thought they were reports of gay cancer, he adds, but he knew he knew nothing about cancer. Gay cancer didn't exist, and a couple of months later, on his way to Palm Springs to visit Roger's parents, Paul read aloud the headline of a gay magazine article that read, "Does Sex Make Us Sick?" He had a feeling that this statement was true, but that couples were having intimacy, or in other words, sex. He thought it was a disease that affected gay men, but there is no disease that affects people because of their sexuality. Paul thought it wasn't them, at least not yet. Nor was it a disease that had positive results. A year later Paul received a phone call from his best friend, Cesar, he was a teacher in San Francisco, who told Paul's lover that he appeared to have cancer due to his symptoms, but AIDS had not even crossed his mind . Cesar sometimes joked about Paul and his lover and joked about their friendship and that they were more serious than a friendship. Cesar didn't like strange things or... the world of paper......different cultures and meeting people of the same sexuality. Finally, Paul explains how he was at Roger's bedside, they were both ill so they had each other's support. He prayed every night to God for giving him another day of life which he was grateful for. He was hiding next to Roger and thanked the Lord for everything they had right now and for everything they had before the illness. He counted his blessings and knew what he was about to lose. He was sick with AIDS, a deadly virus that would ruin his body from the inside and all because this virus was transmitted through sexual intercourse. This was sexual intercourse between gay men. He felt chills when he had to go to the clinic and get checked to see if his virus was getting better or worse. She had nightmares about visiting Roger as he lay dying on the eighth floor of Hospita
