1. Cultural diversity means understanding the different races, religions, cultures, language, work ethic and customs of people of a specific group. 2. Many people try to apply the golden rule while interacting with others; “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Although this code of ethics has been formulated in many ways throughout history, our conference suggests ignoring the golden rule when it comes to modern business. Some professionals now say that the platinum rule is better in a culturally diverse work environment; “Do unto others as they would have you do unto them.” Which “rule” (golden or platinum) do you think would be most ethical in a multicultural workplace and why?
