The Greatest Achievements of Muslims The Muslim community has achieved a lot in the past. Muslims would not have accomplished what they have done without the intelligent minds of the past. Today the Muslim community would not be as advanced as it is now. The Islamic religion has achieved many different goals that some religions only hope to achieve. We find Islam to be a very strict and serious religion. They have rules and guidelines that seem silly or strange to other religions. For Muslims these rules are normal and must be followed. Muslims have accomplished more than we know. Without them some communities around the world would not have some of the very important knowledge we use today. One of the greatest achievements of the Muslim community was the hijra. This was a turning point in the rise of Islam. Muhammad strove to make Islam an accepted religion. In 622 Muhammad was threatened with murder. He and his followers stop trying to teach Islam in Mecca. They moved to Yathrib. Yathrib was later renamed Medina. Medina is now a city in Saudi Arabia. The journey from Mecca to Yathrib was called hijra. In Medina Muhammad and his followers were accepted. The people there welcomed Islam and decided to start practicing it. They became the Muslim community or umma. Rules were created If Muhammad had not gone to Medina Islam would not have been accepted. Today Islam would not have been one of the most practiced religions if Muhammad had not gone to Medina. In medicine the Muslim community created things that we use today. They were among the first people to start building hospitals. In the 8th century the first hospitals began to appear. Today hospitals are very useful and without them doctors... half paper... just achieve these results. There were many other findings. Everything they have accomplished affects us. The Muslim community is very proud of what they have done and they should be. Islam is a very interesting and amazing religion. They have a great history and many extraordinary achievements.
