One thing is different: education, in the video we talked about abandonments and also teenage pregnancies. At the school I went to there were only a handful of dropouts and even fewer teenage pregnancies. Even after a couple of those kids dropped out, they ended up taking classes to get their GED. Another thing I've never had to deal with is not having food on the table. Although neither of my parents finished college, they both graduated high school and were able to find well-paying jobs and care for me and my siblings. There is one thing that was similar to a certain extent in the culture that I grew up in and that in the video is that my family was always very close, but unlike the video this never got in the way of our
