Behaviorism and learning falls under the Behavioral Psychology section. It's basically about how our behavior results from stimuli in the environment and within us. Behaviorism is based on the belief that behaviors can be measured, trained, and changed. Learning is the lasting change in behavior that is the result of experience. As we learn, we modify our environment, how we interpret incoming stimuli and therefore interface with them. Behaviorism, also known as behavioral psychology, is a learning theory based on the idea that all behaviors are acquired through conditioning. Behaviorists believe that our responses to environmental stimuli shape our behaviors. Interviewee: Mrs. Maria. Occupation: Designer According to Ms. Maria San Lucas, who is a designer, “Dealing with good clients is easy. They understand the business of what you do. Problems arise along the way.” He continued: “If I deal with nice customers, they try to understand me and adapt to what I want and in the end I finish my work with a nice ending. Bad customers are fickle, unprofessional and indecisive. But in my business I just try to adapt and be patient. In my job I simply learned to be patient and know how to deal with different types of people. San Lucas has learned to be patient with different types of people. By relating it to behavior, Ms. San Lucas learned to adapt to different types of customers. She changes and in a way adapts to them. Even though she has to deal with some uncaring and sensitive customers, she still tries to be polite and kind to everyone. Despite their unpleasant behavior, he still manages to display a consistent aspect of diplomacy and kindness when dealing with them. Being in that kind of profession where she deals with a lot of people has shaped her to become more tolerant of different kinds of behaviors.
