Criminal Behavior Analysis Document: Jeffrey DahmerJeffrey Dahmer, a defined psychopath, sex offender and serial killer, was born in West Allis, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960. He was responsible for the murders serials of 17 young males between 1978 and 1991. He usually picked up the victims in the gay bar and had sex with them before killing them. In the summer of 1991 he began killing one person every week. He was captured on July 22, 1991 when Tracy Edwards, a survivor and the last intended victim, escaped and handed him over to police officers. Officers arrested him after finding several gruesome objects such as human skulls and bones that had been polished and stored in his apartment. Internal organs were discovered in the refrigerator and parts of them had been cannibalized. He is sometimes nicknamed the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, because he committed cannibalism, rape, dismemberment, and necrophilia. The interesting thing was that not only was he homosexual, but he was also a necrophiliac. He was sentenced to a total of 957 years in prison and was incarcerated at the Columbia Correctional Facility in Portage, Wisconsin. He was attacked twice in time. On the first attempt he received simple wounds to his neck. The second attack caused by an inmate led to his death on November 28, 1994 (CrimeMuseum, 2014). Jeffrey Dahmer was male and committed his first murder when he was 18 in the summer of 1978. He had never married and was homosexual. He had an average socioeconomic status and was unsuccessful in both education and employment. He worked as a laborer at the chocolate factory. He had a normal and happy childhood, different from that of most serial killers. In the interview with his son's family...... middle of paper ......new how to avoid detection and evade five times. Jeffrey Dahmer is not the typical serial killer, because he did not have physical problems or childhood sexual abuse and lower socioeconomic conditions that conventional serial killers represent. Professionals cannot provide sufficient reasons to explain his numerous murders, as he has been associated with all elements of the serial killer. Unlike other serial killers who kill victims and move on to look for new victims, his fantasies led him to commit a series of crimes against the corpse. He also liked to keep all the victims' body parts, including brains and skulls, in the freezer. Sometimes he ate them and took advantage of them. The most interesting thing was that he didn't seem like an attacker or a rapist, even though he said he didn't like violence. However, he could not have any kind of relationship with a living person.
