Over the years things have improved for Los Angeles and it has become a very populated city. A city of over 3 million people in Los Angeles has done quite well for itself, and I believe it will continue to thrive for years to come. New York is another story, New York has an even bigger story of ups and downs. This city is full of art, music and fashion; therefore the city is called the fashion capital of the world. New York being a semi small island is a combination of other islands and Manhattan is the largest. New York is known as the Big Apple because it is one of the largest cities in the world. Before New York became the city it is today, it was full of gangs and other bad people who tore the city apart with many gang fights. The Dutch first arrived in New York in 1624 and called it New Amsterdam and Manhattan Island. The English later took over and called it New York and it became one of the 13 original colonies. Even after all the fighting and violence that New York has gone through, like 9/11, the worst day in American history, New York now stands tall, bigger and brighter than before.
