Erickson's theory can explain some of my personal problems and insecurities, and therefore I can see the significance of the theory on the individual. With Piaget's theory, to me, it is all too obvious that children see things differently at different stages of their lives. However, since we usually take the changes in phases for granted, I found it interesting to see it presented in each of the particular phases, as seen in the video. It shows the importance of helping children see things differently. Skinner's theory is the one I use every day in my two-year-old classroom. We focus on the positive aspects and try to ignore the negative ones or allow some natural consequences to occur. It is really helping us with our potty training efforts. Vygotsky's theory is another that I can relate to both from experience as a student and as an early childhood educator. As a student I was bored quite often with mundane tasks and I can tell when some of my students are bored or find a task too difficult and the negative consequences associated with that
