Being placed in a juvenile facility does not seem to be as helpful as some people think it is. The question is: why? why are teenagers sent directly to juvenile prison?. There are other ways to help a teenager, but some simply decide to place them in a facility. Youth facilities will not work for most teenagers because a problem teenager will only be mixed with other problem teenagers, which will ultimately influence them with more negativity. Compared to other adolescents with the same disorder background, adolescents entering the juvenile justice system were seven times more likely to be arrested for crimes as adults than adolescents.
