From the beginning I wanted to survive not only in the afterlife, but also through the name. In essence, a man suffers both a physical death and a psychological death, resulting in a person vanishing completely when his name is spoken for the last time. And so my goal is to have an impact that the world will never forget. As a result, I have discovered a way to achieve this particular goal that will also coincide with the personal goal of being a benefactor to society. As a short-term physical therapist, I primarily want to restore the physical lives of other human beings, regardless of whether the person may be a wounded soldier, an accident victim, or an elderly athlete. Overall, I aspire to make a name for myself through philanthropic and altruistic actions towards society. Therefore, to make dreams come true, I have already taken measures that agree with my life goals. Over the course of four consecutive years, I was part of the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, also known as NJROTC. Cadets in this particular program face the greatest difficulty when attempting to gain the self-discipline and inner strength to overcome formidable obstacles. Having done it myself, I also gained pride and self-esteem in the process, which are necessary qualities that will help transcend the difficult feats posed by physical therapy. Additionally, as one of the nation's best, the unit consistently dedicates a multitude of days, hours and minutes to preserving its long reign. Indeed, this program has instilled a high, resilient work ethic and relentless dedication that is essential to the long and arduous educational journey and other challenges faced by future physical therapists. Another… paper medium… like producing an autism awareness video, volunteering has personally demonstrated the fact that life is not fair and it is the duty of people to make it as enjoyable as possible for the unfortunate. The act has not only improved my communication and interpersonal skills, but the sheer smile and joy of others makes helping others a genuine experience that cannot be purchased with any amount of money. Clearly, measures have already been taken and objectives have already been pursued. Having the distinct individual and leadership qualities of an outstanding NJROTC cadet, a competitive outlook on life, and a diverse selection of volunteer activities are preventative paths I have taken to prepare myself to pursue employment in physical therapy. Studying at the University of Texas is another simple, yet essential phase of a prosperous and successful life.
