Topic > Love and Love in the Ramayan Rama and Sitna - 702

When Sita wanders around the hermitage to pick several beautiful flowers, she sees the beautiful deer sent by Ravana. The deer captivates the woman's mind and she begs her husband to trap it even as Laksmana becomes suspicious of the strange, colorful and shiny creature. Because Rama possesses dedication to his wife, he takes "Sita's side and [says] to Laksmana: 'It is beautiful, Laksmana. It is unusual'" (Valmiki 706). In correlation to their positions in the poem, a husband who would stop at nothing to make his wife happy would react the same way as Rama. If a woman wanted something, her husband would remain loyal and desperately try to give her what she wants because of his soul's unfailing connection and emotion.
