INTRODUCTION This is a reflective report on how the idea for the cover of this book emerged. It became a thing of real interest after going through a few eBooks, to be able to design a book cover that represented the information to the reader. With information from online resources, including eBooks and articles, the ambition on the topic of book cover design was equipped. THEME The theme of the book cover is titled "Jerome's Journal"; this immediately became a book cover idea when I took this class because Jerome had a journal that he treated like he was writing a book but had never really thought about a cover. The book contains detailed information about everything that is happening in Jerome's life, so I thought about what a potential book cover could look like. To pursue this idea, I took a photo of Jerome and another image of a page from the original handwritten book. CONCEPT With a basic idea of ​​what it takes to design a book cover and the required multimedia components, I checked on the Internet how other book covers were being designed and also how the components were integrated into the art. With a concept in mind, an initial design model was created. This was evaluated by friends and the laboratory assistant, who recommended the addition of some components as well as the removal and/or replacement of others. With all this help a final design was achieved that correctly represented the book cover I had imagined. SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE USED Before designing, the necessary software and hardware were accumulated to facilitate the design of the book cover. Adobe Photoshop CS5 was used to design the book cover.
