The phenomenon of video games is quite new in today's society. While they often tend to be fun and entertaining, the content has become more combative and violent as computer knowledge has become more advanced. To date, the popularity of time spent playing video games has led to an increase in controversy over the benefits they bring. Users, or players, are transported to virtual realities that are often more exciting and engaging than real-life pastimes. From an educational point of view, these games stimulate imagination and creativity, as well as concentration, logical thinking and obstacle solving, all functional skills that go beyond the gaming context. Additionally, computer simulation games have been shown to improve users' motor skills and help prepare them for real-world tasks, such as driving on a highway or staying aloft on a plane. On the other hand, the addiction caused by these games leads people to exchange two hours of sleep for another two hours of gaming, even sacrificing important things such as physical activity or even eating. Let's use one of my favorites as an example: Minecraft.Minecraft is a nearly impeccably formed video game world made to perm...... middle of paper ......an? Should they have risked their way out against the United States in the 1930s by supporting Franco's Spain? Will the British Empire collapse when its colonies claim independence? Should the USSR completely dissolve and lose its economic power? These kinds of teaching methods are something we might not notice at first glance, but playing simple games can increase your knowledge up to double that of an average person.
