Personal Development From the beginning of this MBA journey the author wanted to find ways to improve the implementation of CSI in a company beyond the public relations function and beyond just the management space of the reputation in which CSI often resides. It has always been a long-standing passion of the author to conceptualize strategic ways for CSI to find and earn its space as a worthy tool that contributes strategically to the business. Through this research the author also aims to improve the following skills: research, project management, stakeholder management and learning to develop an evidence-based argument. Since the research work will be an avenue to gain insights into corporate social investment strategies within the airline, the study will also help the researcher to identify the possible gap between the current CSI practices and the airline's corporate strategic objectives. It is also important for the researcher as a well-rounded scholar to develop a skill, using all the tools honed during her MBA studies, to conceptualize and robustly interrogate CSI strategies and conceptualize ways to enable CSI to be aligned with a company's intentions and objectives
