However, the United States primarily has control of drones for military use and in 2003 was the first to fire missiles at an enemy from a drone called the Predator. However, countries around the planet use drones for journalism, to prevent premature deaths, monitor crowded areas and protect the lives of police forces. On the other hand, drones have not always been used for the good of the cause. In some cases, civilians have been injured and there have been protests in several countries around the world. Pakistan, for example, is one such large country that believes that drones are evil and are simply a recipe for disaster. Events, such as protests, have occurred in the United States with the intent of limiting the deployment of drones in the military.
