The Oxford dictionary defines beauty as “the quality that gives pleasure to humanity, we humans have worked hard to surround our lives with beauty because we know that wherever there is beauty there is happiness. The ancient Egyptians, for example, placed pious objects, usually made of gold, in their tombs. They knew the meaning of beauty and were sure that beautiful antiques would make them happy after death. To understand the precise meaning of beauty, we must first distinguish between external beauty and internal beauty. Beauty is regularly mistaken for external. However, true beauty is something found within the body. Something we cannot see is invisible to us. Internal beauty is something we can feel rather than see. It may take years to see the inner beauty of other people, however, it is there within everyone we know. Even the murderers have that kind of beauty, but they have buried it deep in their hearts where no one can see it.
