My father works as a psychologist in a mental health institution while my mother works in a large high school as a mathematics teacher. I grew up with two other children, both a brother and a sister. Despite the age difference, my brother is older and my sister is younger. We all got along really well while growing up. I never held back a grade, as many of my classmates were. I studied hard from the age of 12 until now. My specialty is English literature. I also speak and read German fluently. Interests and part-time work So I also like to write a bit in German. I don't study German literature. Reimbursing myself for German literature is simply my way of escaping the nature of reality for a while. It's my way of relaxing, while others enjoy watching the X Factor and Netflix programmes. Nowadays I work part-time as a waiter in Thank God It's Friday. However, I don't like this job, it allows me to complete my university studies more efficiently. My day usually consists of 3 hours of service at TGI Fridays, then 5 hours of classes spread throughout the afternoon. I like learning something new every day. Aspiring to become a teacher My goal in the future is to become an English literature teacher. My mother was the main influence for me to become a teacher. I have considered becoming a mental health psychologist. However, many stories discouraged me from this idea. First lesson on teacher practice In my experience, I have taught some elementary classes. The first took place at Miami Elementary School. It was class 4B and they were eager to learn the required course material. The behavior was wonderful. The first thing I taught them was timetables. What I did was create a song for them, while I brought my guitar on the first day. I played the multiplication table song on my guitar and sang it for them. Afterwards I gave them a little quiz about their schedules. In which many of them scored around 50% marks. The second thing was peer work. I made two or three of them work together. In which, their job was to bring out the most.
