In my opinion, a company shouldn't treat you differently because of the lifestyle you choose to lead at home, as long as it doesn't harm any of the employees. There are a lot of things we choose not to talk about with the people I work with because in my eyes they don't relate to what I'm doing, so why does it matter? However, if one day they noticed that I came in smelling of alcohol and it was obvious that I had been drinking, I would want them to send me home because it is a personal matter that I brought to the workplace that can in turn hurt another person. As far as technology goes, there is never a way to be absolutely certain that something we don't want others to see won't be seen. For this reason we should always choose what we post on our social media. I know many people who have the habit of simply posting whatever they want without worrying about who sees it. Surveillance is always legitimate I think surveillance in a work environment is sometimes very necessary. However, I don't think it should ever be used to warehouse employees unless they are informed that at some point they will be observed while they are at work. Even though Murray didn't tell them he was watching them, I think he should have told them after the fact so they knew why the changes were being made that were being made.
