Teachers are usually overlooked as important professions; many believe that teaching is not as challenging or difficult as other high-paying professions. Without teachers, people would not be able to acquire knowledge and there would be no academic growth. Teachers are just as important as other professions and should have a pay raise for beginning teachers. Teachers are extremely vital to everyone's life, as a parent you want the best teacher for your child. This is not possible without a salary increase; most people interested in education are often hesitant. This is because many fear that while the job is perfect for them, the salary is not. As an adult, stability is a necessity and stability in this world is synonymous with money. Without a good salary, people are unable to take care of their families, which of course is a worrying situation for many people embarking on education. Teachers are here to help students grow academically, but they can't do so if they don't have the proper tools to use. Many teachers sacrifice part of their meager salary to buy supplies for their students. Mind you, the budget for teacher supplies is often not much. Teachers who put students before themselves and their own needs are just as important as other professions. A teacher being paid more is the most logical thing there is, given that teachers have the means to support themselves; they will have “extra” money to spend on extracurricular activities for school. Teachers will have the opportunity to take lessons that would benefit the class. Teachers could: attend workshops on how to communicate better with their students, maths teachers hold workshops on a new method of teaching maths and English... middle of paper... equipped and unsupported teachers. As the old saying goes, “You get what you paid for.” Failing these students is ultimately hurting them and other citizens of America. International students look to America as a shining beacon of light, with endless opportunities and tools to help them succeed in life. According to University World News, “enrollment growth was driven by only two countries, China and Saudi Arabia. Since 2007, enrollments from China have grown by 186.5%, while those from Saudi Arabia have grown by a staggering 332.9%. This shows that not only the situation is complicated for our students, but also for other countries. Teachers are extremely important and are the people who drive our future. If teachers don't get their pay raise, it will impact the world because a world without education is a world without growth.
