Organizational structure is basically a set of lines of authority, communication, rights and duties in organizations. It is also organized based on role, power and responsibilities between different levels of management. The Vodafone company has designed a new structure for 2015 to ensure more sufficient and effective service delivery to customers. It will accelerate the growth of unified communications and achieve greater efficiency at scale (Vodafone 2013). There are five different types of structures in the organization, all of which impact the goals of the organization. Functional structure, in Vodafone they divide each department separately according to their specialization, like they have purchasing department, sales and marketing department, human resources department, so they can only focus on their work and all employees have to report to the CEO of company company to make any decisions. But it can create difficulties for both the organization and the employees. There are no multiple skills learned by the employee, the employee can only do one thing in which he is specialized. There is no knowledge sharing among employees. Everyone has to report to the CEO to make any decision, even the smallest one, it's a waste of resources and time. No power is given to employees.
