Topic > The differences between blue collar crime and blue collar crime. Blue-collar crime

Unlike white-collar crime, these crimes most likely consist of violence and personal injury, such as murder, armed robbery, rape, domestic and drug abuse, and home invasion. These crimes can be against a person or property and are crimes of passion and opportunity. White collar crimes are crimes that require great planning, time and skill. These crimes can last for long periods of time and go undetected for many years, if at all. The people who commit these crimes are upper class and usually commit them in the workplace. They are both men and women and most often fund managers, stockbrokers, office workers and telemarketers. They have access to client files and accounts and use their position to deceive their clients and/or colleagues and are able to hide the deception and theft well. As far as blue collar crime goes, these crimes come from an opportunity, spur of the moment, in and out of crime. They are rarely planned and well thought out, in most cases even for profit. Blue-collar crime is more violent than white-collar crime. These crimes are most likely committed by low-income/no-income people
