For my movie review (150 words) I chose Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a 2016 superhero film based on the DC Comics characters Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The film, directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, is the second chapter of the DC Extended Universe. The film follows two superheroes, who are tricked into fighting each other by Lex Luthor, and must team up to defeat a giant monster called Doomsday. However, the film is criticized for its confusing plot and poor handling of female characters. Lois Lane is reduced to a plot device, Wonder Woman is the only female character portrayed with depth, and Lex Luthor's characterization is flawed. Jesse Eisenberg's performance as Luthor is described as miscast and the portrayal of the character as a would-be Joker is unconvincing.
