Topic > Description of my identity

The ability to identify with the surrounding environment is an essential component. My identity can be explained in my personality and continuous interaction in the environments I have been in since I was young. Finding an identity is not a one-time phenomenon. I believe identifying is something that lasts a lifetime. After all, psychologists argue that one's identity orients itself and changes over time. I find it essential to understand myself by identifying myself in order to live well, interact easily with others and pursue my goals. I realize there are many things to identify with; my family, my gender, my university, my community, my race, my religion, and even the choices I make every single day. Both choice and factors over which I have no control ultimately help define who I am and therefore the role I have in life. Rather, life is a broad term and I realize the role I play in various environments such as home, church, school and community. Say no to plagiarism. My family, a sister, two brothers, a mother and a father, have to a large extent shaped who I am. I come from a Christian family who practices Christianity instead of attending church. It implies that my siblings and I were raised in a Christian background and need to live righteous lives. Since I was young, my parents allowed me to make good choices by teaching me that the world is cruel and needs a wise, God-fearing, and relentless person. I appreciate them very much for having influenced the good moral and Christian beliefs that I still hold dear today. In my role as a brother, family and community member, I have been drawn to helping others and doing good. Virtues such as patience, hard work, hope and resilience were influenced in me by my parents, who made great efforts to raise us in the best possible way. Essentially, my parents were my immediate role models. In addition to teaching us good morals, they put them into practice. If they failed, they failed. The essential nature of our actions and interactions with others over time shapes who we become and the place we occupy in society. My identity and the intrinsic role I play in the community, university, society, and religious matters describe who I am. Over the years, we define who we are, through our actions, associations and relationships with others. Importantly, the path we take in life and the choices we make help describe our personality and the role we play in our respective families, universities, communities, places of worship, and society. The people around us, such as parents, siblings and peers, contribute to our identity and help shape who we become over time.
