Topic > Reflection paper on Cheikh Anta Diop - 979

It is thanks to the activities we have carried out and, more importantly, the people who have been introduced to me, such as Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop, that I am able to expand the my horizons and maybe take a look at what I've been missing. When a man who is himself African and shows how he believes so strongly in his origins, it's hard not to start believing it too. Not only did he express his opinions, but he provided numerous studies and findings that can link our evolution to Africa and prove it. With skulls of different species, they could tell what race the men were and even showed the development from the beginning to a homosapien sapien. Since the fifth out of six species doesn't have much of a forehead, one might come to the conclusion that the brain would also be different; the anterior lobe of the brain was certainly missing. This to me is just mind-blowing and allowed me to be open to the idea that perhaps there was an evolution from one species to the next. All in all, listening to Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop tell his story through a short piece of text, or as he talks about his intelligence and African discoveries, it's easy to say that I'm constantly learning something new. When there is adequate evidence to support possible theories, I find it much easier to come to a sensible conclusion
