Conservatives in most third world countries still believe that coeducation is against their cultures and traditions. They are of the opinion that boys cannot be educated with girls, also their opinion regarding education of girls is disturbing that they should not even be educated. As a result of this perception there has been a societal feud over single-sex schools and mixed-gender schools whereby some families have chosen not to take their daughter to school at all in an attempt to show their disapproval of co-education.
