Tepper uses pathos by showing that he has empathy for people who are delaying adulthood. Tepper understands what they're going through, because he's experienced it himself. He knows what it's like to be an adult, and he knows that millennials who are delaying adulthood value, among other things, time and money, of which they now have less. Tepper does a good job of using pathos, however readers who are not yet fully in his stage of life may feel different from him, which may cause them to be less likely to believe his point of view. Grose's use of pathos is weak because he does not appeal to his audience's emotions, but instead bombards them with statistics to prove his point.
