Commonly Used Forms of Lying The whole truth and nothing but the truth. If these were words to live by, then some of us would be in trouble. Most people have a habit of lying on a daily basis. Everyone tells a lie sometimes. Most lies are those little white lies, the ones to keep you out of trouble and the stupid ones that don't make sense. There are little white lies that are told to avoid hurting someone else's feelings. These are answers to questions that cannot be answered with the truth. “Do I look fat?” is the number one question that should always be answered with a little lie for good reasons. A person does not want to insult another human being, so he tells a little lie to avoid harm. No one will come out and say "Yeah, you look like a pig!" Sometimes the truth is simply mean and above all rude. The question of whether or not what a person wears is beautiful is another significant time to tell a little lie. Once again the person will not insult you directly. This question has no real meaning anyway. Usually it's a girl looking for a compliment. If you say they look good, girls usually say no. If it is said that they look bad, then it is better to run as fast as possible. Whether it's Christmas or a birthday, there are always occasions when a bad gift is given. No one wants to admit that they hate the gift. This would seriously hurt the donor's feelings. It is known that a gift can always be exchanged or returned, so there is no need to upset anyone. White lies are sometimes unavoidable in some situations. People do stupid things and lies fall into this category. It is not the act of lying but simply the... means of paper......that causes more lies and more problems. It all starts when someone tries to cover up a lie with another lie that makes the truth so far from ever being possible. This makes it difficult to keep lies alive and remember what really happened. In some cases like this, a person can get so caught up in lying that it becomes second nature to them. It can be helpful sometimes, but it's not always wise to lie. If the time comes when a person feels that it is inevitable to lie to spare the feelings of another, then definitely keep the peace. It's always best to avoid the stupid lies that everyone knows are a lie. Long explanatory lies lead to more lies that leave the person worse off than before. It has been said and proven that "no one likes a liar." So the best advice to follow is to lie when it's unavoidable and tell the truth everything else.
