Topic > The First Objective of the Social Work Program - 1014

The Code of Ethics includes ethical standards that all social workers must adhere to (2016, p.2). This code ensures that social workers are ethically responsible to clients, colleagues, practice settings, as professionals and to society at large (2016). D) Plagiarism is considered “the use of ideas and/or words of an author without appropriate citation…” (2016, p.3). According to SUNY Plattsburgh's Academic Honesty Policy, plagiarism in all forms is considered cheating (2016, p.3). Since the individual does not use his own thoughts, he practically steals someone else's ideas and this is ethically wrong, both in society and especially in the field of social media.
