It is difficult for most people to be totally transparent even in a church context, self-esteem, self-esteem and fear of embarrassment are enough to cause people to internalize their emotions and their problems. This method is a form of emotional exploration of interactions, relationships and ideas. The ultimate goal of the imaginal method is to become aware of those repressed internal emotions that influence relationships and perception. Using this process, an individual would then reflect on ideas and thoughts that were captured during the free journal writing period.
