Social sciences are based on the study of social systems, social institutions, social behavior and social relationships. This major supports these careers because it is about how the world functions and operates and why people are the way they are. A social science major is important for my personality type because people with this type of major end up having a very wide and colorful variety of attractive, well-paying job opportunities available to them, often including positions that require those who are socially inclined and people oriented. People with this important job work closely with each other and develop skills they wouldn't normally be as strong at, such as communication, social perceptiveness, active listening, adaptability, and conflict.
