The word Feng Shui (fung shway) literally means wind and water in Chinese. These important sources of energy are the basis of the belief that environmental factors greatly influence people and this is the basis of Feng Shui. The bagua card indicates how the elements, directions and aspects of life can exert an influence. There is a lot of information on the subject provided by professionals and journalists that demonstrates the benefits of Feng Shui. The unbelievers who began practicing it brought great prosperity and luck into their lives, leading them to become supporters of the practice. Therefore, it is obvious that although there is a counter-argument against the argument that Feng Shui is extremely beneficial; it is refuted by successful businessmen, converts and journalists. Business mogul, financial institutions, architects, offices and homeowners use Feng Shui principles. Many intelligent and highly successful people spend time and money incorporating this ancient art, yet there are skeptics who attempt to prove that it is a waste of time. Feng Shui is now a global phenomenon that brings wealth and well-being, yet it is surrounded by skepticism; even skeptics eventually change when they are inundated with its benefits. Feng Shui is an ancient art that originated in Asia thousands of years ago. It is based on the bagua chart which provides readings and decides the best actions to take when designing buildings or arranging furniture inside a building. The card is based on the I Ching, an ancient Chinese text that includes ancient cosmic principles and divination methods.
