Recent years have seen the emergence of a highly structured, responsive approach to learning. The individualized learning model was structured in a way that allowed students to have more time and receive appropriate instruction where they needed it most. Furthermore, the content of the model curriculum and the work carried out by said students were determined and evaluated by their class teacher. There has, however, been recognition by Joyce et al. that due to modern advancements in the fields of educational technology, to date there has been a greater possibility that individualization is a general possibility.
