What is Mangrove Ecosystem?Mangroves are found in tropical and subtropical areas found in intertidal areas and in the mouths of estuaries between land and sea. It consists of a group of plants that grow in shallow, muddy salt water or brackish water. The specific regions where the plants are found are called the “mangrove ecosystem.” Mangroves provide a critical habitat for diverse marine and terrestrial flora and fauna. The continuous interruption of physiological and morphological stresses, the effect of salinity, aeration and long-term wave assault are causes of the high fragility of the ecosystem (source?). Mangrove forests have brought many benefits to humanity especially in the economic and environmental sectors. The production of poles, charcoal and firewood can be obtained from the mangrove forest and also supports various functions such as coastal protection, sediment trapping and nutrient recycling, supporting fish and wildlife populations, source of food (Source?). Therefore, effective strategies are needed to overcome the number of mangrove forest declines in Malaysia and avoid the extinction of organisms in mangrove areas. Considering what has been stated above, the objectives of this essay are as follows: Objectives1. Study the functions of the mangrove ecosystem on the surrounding environment.2. Determine the effectiveness strategies implemented by the government to restore the mangrove ecosystem. What is the importance of mangrove forests? Economic Benefits of Mangrove Forests/Ecosystems Mangrove forests are the economic suppliers to provide forest products such as firewood, charcoal, timber, honey and etc. Mangrove wood with a high content of...... half the paper...... won't happen. Scientists and environmentalists should not give up on finding a suitable solution. They should also educate the public, make them aware of this worrying issue and raise awareness about this problem.
