How do we, as connoisseurs, comment on Brison's article? If knowledge is situated, how do we apply personal knowledge and experiences? Would this deny the truth of knowledge, color and distort the validity of information? We could apply Sandra Harding's principles of strong objectivity and therefore the experiences and knowledge gained would be valuable and credible. However, when I considered Alcoff's (1991-1992) article “The Problem of Speaking for Others,” it raised valid questions and points that stimulate my thoughts and the implications of strong objectivity, on ethics and ignorance and on the pursuit of knowledge, and I Returning to the question, I would not speak for others if I spoke from experience. Having said that, I asked myself: when would I do it?
