Topic > Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa Recruiting Campaign

IntroductionThe Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa was the first new casino resort in Atlanta and was to undertake a recruiting campaign to employ over 5,000 employees in many positions. Borgata wanted its staff to be passionate about why they wanted to be employed at Borgata and this would ensure the company's success in their new venture. To attract the quality staff it needs and effectively manage the number of potential applicants, Borgata must have various recruitment programs in place. By having more than one recruitment initiative they can ensure they maximize effectiveness in attracting the right candidate and exclude those who don't reach the standard they are looking for. Borgata must maintain and exemplify the hotel and fine dining service that Atlanta is accustomed to, in order to attract the best chefs and hotel staff to ensure the city's demands are exceeded. Recruitment Methods There are many types of recruitment programs that can attract the range of people your hotel requires by placing adverts in newspapers, billboards and outside signage or transport. Other types of campaigns may include electronic media, websites, mobile recruiting stations and job fairs. Since this was a new hotel and casino, only one recruiting method would be successful, the external method will need to include all types of recruiting to successfully hire over 5,000 employees. I assume that some posts could be transplanted from other areas of Borgata to ensure that the property has experienced staff to manage the new hotel.Recruitment ProgramsMedia AdvertisingAdvertising in local newspapers, hotel and gaming magazines would help..... . middle of paper ...proposed potential members to "Work somewhere different." Borgata recruiters will also create a strong presence at upcoming job fairs at regional colleges and universities, inviting candidates to learn about the Borgata difference and to apply for positions on BorgataJobs.com' (Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, 2006, para. 8) .
