Furthermore, the poet uses a specific style of consonance, which is present in the poem (Ahmed & Ayesha, p. 11). The poet also uses the style of assonance depicted in the seventh stanza, “For seven whole days I did not see my beloved.” The letter “o” was repeated to create rhythm and show desperation in the poem. In the penultimate line of the seventh stanza the poet uses the style of consonance: “If I embrace her, the disease will drive me away. This way the letter "l" is repeated across the entire line.
