The Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide appear to be very similar in many ways when learning in the English classroom. I hope you will see the similarities and differences. Some basic information about the Holocaust is that over two million Jews were murdered and it was a mass murder. Furthermore, the Armenian Genocide was closely related to the same thing. In the genocide there was mass murder with millions of deaths. So, with that said, let me begin (The Holocaust). Hitler did a lot to gain power and the things he said worked, so people who didn't want to face death decided they should listen. Another difference is that the Nazis had more than one type of group, for example the SS was part of the Nazis. They were more powerful than a normal Nazi. In the decade following his release from prison where he had been imprisoned for treason, Hitler took advantage of his rivals' weakness to improve his party's status and rise from obscurity to power. On 20 January 1933 he was appointed Chancellor of Germany. After the death of President Paul von Hindenburg in 1934, Hitler anointed himself “Fuhrer,” becoming Germany's supreme ruler (The History Place). Many of the things Hitler did had nothing to do with how the Armenian Genocide happened or occurred. Now the similarities in how the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust are the same. Well, we know that one obvious reason is that they both called out a group of people who resulted in the unnecessary killing of innocent people. In a way it's similar because at some point the Turks and the Nazis both used things to blame people or tragedies that happened in their country which can always trigger a revolt or some sort of revolution. Another thing that... it's in the middle of the paper... or them, but we don't think they pose a threat because they're so old they could die very soon, so we knew they're out there but they weren't hunting for them ( Genocide Museum). You should feel the same way about the fact that both of these tragedies are wrong in every shape and form and that they all needed to be punished for the crimes they committed. Another thing to conclude this article is that as you study genocide you notice that genocides have never been talked about as much as the holocaust was and this should be changed because people need to know about genocides and what happens in they. Everyone knows the Holocaust was wrong, but people don't know about genocides as much as they should, so that's something that should change. The Armenian Genocide was just like the Holocaust when it came to killing, both were mass murders in every sense.
