With the confidence of each member within the group to communicate their strengths and weaknesses, our KSAs were established efficiently to ensure tasks were assigned effectively to maximize personal and work outcomes (Stevens & Campion, 1994 ). Therefore, our approach to the topic was easy, quick and natural as few disagreements occurred. However, this meant that the validity of our hypotheses was not questioned and our creativity in terms of audience engagement was stifled (Kirchmeyer and Cohen, 1992). Therefore, our group was not exposed to constructive conflicts which can be functional and contribute positively to team performance as they reveal important information through different viewpoints that lead to more alternative solutions to the problems under review (Amason, 1996).
