In today's society, technology has become more of a necessity than a way to make life easier. Computers are a perfect example of how technology has spread into many American households in a relatively short span of time. Nowadays, computers are used daily by people for reasons such as communication, business, education, finance, entertainment and general information. Unfortunately, not every American household contains one of these helpful tools. Over 44 million families in the United States could be considered lost and no longer part of the information web due to the lack of a computer in the home.
