This has helped me have a better understanding of myself and those who work with me. A couple of weeks ago I had a conversation with a senior manager. I told him that I've noticed that he can pretty much deal with any personality type. When he responds it is always with the utmost respect. Even if a person cut to the chase with a comment or action, you would never be able to tell. Although I noticed this feature weeks ago, "Type Talk at Work" helped me understand the concept. I'm learning not to take it personally, but that it's the person's personality. That we all come from different backgrounds, cultures, religions and personality types. Improving my understanding of the behavioral needs and preferences of people within my organization (Kroeger, Soesen, & Rutledge, 2002). I also keep the following Bible verse with me throughout my workday. It comes from 2 Chronicles 1:10-12: “Give me therefore the wisdom and knowledge I need to govern them. Otherwise how could I govern these people of yours?” God responds: “You have made the right choice… you have asked for wisdom and knowledge so that you can govern my people, over whom I have made you king. And I will also give you more riches, treasures and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again.” (Bible of the Good News,
