The first part of the study shows the nature of employability skills and how they relate to mobility issues. Our discussion here will focus on the shift towards contextualization, which moves from the basic concept and original life skills to the alteration of work-oriented interpretation. In the pass, the concept of employability was linked to preparation for work and proof of employment. However, oriented focus links an organisation's performance with the employability of graduates, which in turn are linked to salary increases and promotions. The second part of this study examines the recorded evidence of the influence of employability skills on mobility in Singapore, the findings build on current records of skills utilization in Singapore to outline the association between employability skills and mobility. This shows that employability skills in Singapore are increasingly linked to the work context and go beyond simply holding a job. Indeed, mobility is mainly influenced by the extent to which employability skills are shared between firms.
