What a beautiful morning it is! It's a lot like the morning of the Battle of Cowshed, isn't it? Silent, peaceful. Do you remember? We were all eating our morning rations when Snowball's pigeons came circling through the air. They told us of the arrival of Jones and his men. Luckily we were prepared and had a battle plan, otherwise we would have been taken without a fight! We overpowered men very easily, actually; Snowball's strategy worked wonders. He also fought so valiantly in the battle! It is more than justified for him to earn the “Animal Hero, First Class!” medallion. It is fortunate that he understands the man so well and wants so badly to spread the seed of rebellion on farms across the country. Not only does Animal Farm need a good leader like Snowball, but our entire community of animal workers desperately needs a strong captain to lead the country through this turbulent time of change and rebellion. Without Snowball's expert guidance at the Battle of Cowshed, it is likely that we animals could not have overpowered men so easily. However his most important actions were those taken before the battle; Snowball realized that Jones would return to reclaim his farm, so he prepared the animals for the day the fighting would take place. “Snowball, who had studied an old book on Julius Caesar's campaigns that he had found on the farm, was in charge of the defensive operations. He quickly gave his orders, and in a couple of minutes [after hearing the news of the arrival of Jones and his men] every animal was in its place. (page 40) Organizing an entire animal farm to be at a certain location within minutes of an order is an amazing feat, considering the amount of bodies and the different i...... halves of paper.... ..ted, how can we fully achieve what we set out to do? If we want to contribute to society rather than be a burden, we must have the opportunity to learn and benefit the lives of those around us forever. In this stormy time, what we need is a tenacious leader to guide us through this time of rebellion. In the Battle of Cowshed, Snowball took charge of the fate of Animal Farm and not only carried us animals through the battle with flying colors, but gave us the confidence to unite as one and work as a team to defeat Jones. With Snowball as our leader, we complete our work more efficiently and with better quality. Snowball isn't just interested in results and immediate rewards; he is altruistic and strives to achieve what is good for all animals the rest of the time. Tell me; this is not what we, as a revolutionary generation of animal workers, need?
