The person I selected for this interview is a 22 year old Caucasian female. For identity protection reasons we will call the female “Emily”. Emily is originally from Mount Sterling and has no siblings. Emily loves traveling to Pigeon Ford with her family and is a fan of Carrie Underwood and Tyler Perry movies. Emily also said that her biggest pet peeve is people who abuse children and she can't stand liars. Emily values her friends and family along with honesty, respect and education. He believes that these core values help people succeed in their lives. Emily also believes that everyone is equal in life and that we should all treat others the way we want to be treated. During our interview Emily talked about a teacher who had such a huge impact on her life during her high school years. Emily said her teacher told her to "make a difference" and that quote has always stuck with her since that day she told her. Emily said her dream job would be to work with children in a school setting as a home assistant. Emily talked about how fun is an important value in life too because a person cannot always be serious and that it is healthy to live and laugh because laughter is the best medicine that exists. Emily and I were not only different ethnically but in other ways as well. I'm 25 years old. I have not traveled outside of Mount Sterling, but I hope to one day once I reach my goals with college. My dream job is also different from Emily's because I hope to work in the medical field with my degree and possibly deal with domestic violence cases. Emily, I had the same values and beliefs when it comes to being successful in life. Emily and I also have the same but also different annoyances. As stated...middle of the paper...just sit down to talk to them. I am grateful that I had to record my first interview because I know that recording sessions may be something that comes to mind when I begin working with clients in the social work field. This was another interesting interview for me because, as I stated before, it showed me how different and different I am from another individual. Another important thing I learned before even taking this course is that different doesn't always mean crazy. Two people can be different but still have things in common and build a relationship between them, both personal and professional. I believe these interviews have been a great starting point for me when it comes to working with clients in the field. I know I still have some things to learn when it comes to working with clients, but I think I'm off to a pretty good start so far.
