Why do we accept things as we perceive them? Socrates argued that "life without analysis is not worth living." Every day people use smartphones, tablets and laptops to access search engines hoping that they will provide answers to the questions they ask. I can't help but think that we have lost the art of questioning and exploration. Search engines can provide answers to trivial questions, but they only provide easy answers. Studying philosophy and politics will help me pursue the answers to the big questions of this life. Wittgenstein's "Philosophical Investigations" are completely open, upside down. and he reshaped my perception of language and its relation to understanding, much like, I suppose, his philosophical position. Aside from his logical approach to language analysis, observation 464 encapsulates why I am drawn to him as a thinker to be able to write “milk me some sugar” in a major philosophical work is certainly the right person for me .
