According to the Web MD Health Foundation "Healthy eating begins with learning new, healthy ways of eating that provide the right balance of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients ." A healthy diet provides an individual with a lot of energy and is able to manage daily activities, manage stress, prevent and control diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and many others. This diet analysis project provided me with awareness about calories, nutrients, energy needs, and balance. First of all, three days of dairy provided nutrient awareness, such that I could compare the nutrients I consumed over three days to the recommended standards. For example, for vitamin A 700 mcg was recommended, however I only took 394 mcg which is very low and this motivates me to have to increase foods rich in vitamin A such as fortified milk, margarine and liver which can help with functions such as immunity and vision.
