Because souls and Forms coexist together, souls have an intimate understanding of all Forms. It is with the knowledge of these Forms that the soul initially enters into life. As life continues, the human being begins to remember the knowledge with which he was born. Socrates considers the Forms as divine knowledge; this is what Socrates considers "the truth" or "ultimate knowledge". Being able to claim mastery of the Forms and the ability to recognize and perceive them would only happen with death once the soul had been freed from the limitations of the human body. Ultimately, Form is reality while everything humans can perceive is an incomplete fake.
