I was very grateful to have such a good family to marry into. I was so lucky to have such a beautiful future as a mother in law soon, she was perfect and made me feel like one of her own, she was the only one who knew what happened to me while I was living with my family. Well, I was so excited that I asked to open one of my presents and of course they said no. So when I talked to Landon (Stevens' dad) I asked him what he got me and he made me bring the presents he got for me, he started shaking it and it shattered and I started crying because he broke mine gift and I was heartbroken still thinking he was no different than my stepfather, well boy was I wrong, he did it on purpose to see my reaction because his wife told him what happened to me. He's a prankster, so he put a light bulb in my gift, my gift was glass earrings with buzzing birds and the light bulb is what shattered. I told Steven what happened and he thought it was funny. Never ever have I had a dull or boring Christmas or Christmas Eve since I have lived with them. every year I go in and ask Landon if he wants to break my present and he says that after what happened the first time he wouldn't do it again because it only brings back bad memories, and to this day I cherish every moment of Christmas with my in-laws because they treat me as if I were one of their children. They always give me something I've never had. I will make sure my children never have to miss out on Christmas because I will be so much more to them than my sister and I
