Introduction: In this essay I will analyze and interpret people's attitudes towards university and whether it is worth going to. Are there other options that might suit the person and their career? Based on facts and parsimonious information obtainable on the Internet, newspapers and other factual guides, I will explain the main positive aspects and the main negative aspects of the university. Many pressures in society and conventional wisdom can lead people to think that going to university is the only way to progress, but better, less affordable options are available. Main body Facts and information: An article from the Guardian shows that an increasing number of universities expect to charge £9,000 which is the maximum possible and the minimum is £6,000 per year, which means for many young people a minimum debt of £18,000. This debt may be difficult to repay unless you acquire skills and archive high-demand qualifications, so that you are almost guaranteed a job once you finish your degree. The vehemence towards these tuition fees is very evident due to the protests and demonstrations against them that have taken place posed by reports via the Telegraph. A demonstration against university fees by tens of thousands of students and teachers turned violent when a group of protesters stormed the Conservative Party headquarters. On the other hand, going to college can give you the chance to have a lot of fun at a prime time in your life for three whole years. Partying and sharing rented accommodation may seem quite appealing to most young people and students. Making new friends and moving away from home could be a life-changing experience.
