These children knew how they were supposed to behave since they were socialized as infants (Gould 108-109). What does this say about society and women in particular? Women are expected to be submissive and act in accordance with patriarchal society. When they don't, they're considered assholes or rude. Women are unable to realize their complete individuality because from the beginning of their lives they are forced to behave in a certain way; whether they wish to do so or not. I am unable to branch out and try new things without facing ridicule. I don't think it's fair to expect all women to fit the same stereotype as no two people are the same. Similar to Child X, women and men should be able to do this
